U Beauty is the luxury skincare brand founded by influencer Tina Chen Craig, available both DTC and through high-end retailers like Net-A-Porter, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom. As the brand looked to raise funds to accelerate their impressive global growth, U Beauty needed to showcase increased sales in a highly competitive skincare market. And with their premium price point and elevated positioning, building awareness and affinity with the target luxury audience was key for the brand’s long-term success.
U BEAUTY INFLUENCER PERFORMANCE MARKETING
OGAKI created two distinct influencer strategies — one to support DTC sales and one to support brand awareness. To drive sales, OGAKI created a direct conversion program with hand-selected, sales-driving influencers, highlighting personal anecdotes and results. We also activated content creators to create engaging video content for paid media and allowlisting campaigns, driving stronger ROI. Finally, we established an affiliate marketing program to encourage additional sales through the paid and organic efforts.
To increase awareness, OGAKI executed monthly giftings, launch mailers, and brand events with key tastemakers in the luxury space. Brand partnerships with brands like Tower28 and Resoré — along with U Beauty editorials with influencers like Tezza Barton and Rocky Barnes — further strengthened the brand’s reach with their target audience.
By building a holistic influencer approach that tackled both the sales and awareness objectives, OGAKI was able to generate strong ROI and Estimated Media Value (EMV) for both core products and new launches, including a partnership that drove nearly a 13x ROI during the critical holiday season.
